Rubber conveyor belt length on drum
Sometimes is useful to calculate the length of a conveyor rubber belt wound on a roll. It is often an old tire unmounted from and wound from belt conveyor.
Enter 4 main parameters
- Inner drum diameter d
- Conveyer belt thickness s
- Number of coils N
- Angle between final coil and end of rubber belt α
Example: All parameters should be considered for further calculations. On this picture above, we have coiled conveyor rubber belt on wooden drum (d). Pay attention the order of measurement operations.
Warning Final coil is not calculated in number of coils, except if it is matching with at end of first coil. In that case Final coil angle is 0.
